Our Story
Born from Service, Built on Honor
The Walkering Across America Foundation was born from a simple, powerful belief: no veteran should ever sleep without a roof over their head. Founded in 2026, WAAF exists because the system failed veterans like Ryan H — and we refused to accept that.
Ryan H served his country with honor. But in 2018, he found himself homeless and couldn't get help from the government because he didn't check off their boxes. He had his DD-214. He had his service record. The system still turned him away.
Stories like Ryan's are why WAAF exists. Our rule is simple: all you need is your DD-214. No other boxes to check. No bureaucratic barriers. If you served, we will walk alongside you — all the way home.
